Bob the Dalek rocks the red socks
Or how to turn an innocent weekend into a vaguely-Who-related weekend ^_^
So, I did the Sports Relief Mile on Saturday and it was great fun. Oh yeah, and I ran it, thank you very much! Didn't break no record though. ;-) Anyways, it was a good day, even though I didn't even find my team, lol. A couple of people stopped me because of my Bad Wolf t-shirt (yes one of them was a 10yo, so?). We had some live music after the run, and Bob the Dalek came to rock it next to the stage (Bob needs to go on a diet if he ever wants to get *on* the stage). Will definitely do it again next year.
Then I went to the Food festival on the Bay today. There was a chocolate fountain, man. A. Freakin'. Chocolate. Fountain. I'm gonna marry that fountain. Anyways, not the point. Point is, I don't think I'll ever be able to walk on the Bay and not picture time rifts and Slitheen. While I was there, I also stopped at the Millenium Center, cos hey, New Earth anyone? And I stopped by the expo shop again, on my way to the cinema, and I'm gonna have to the expo again, because apparently they have Cybermen in there now. Would it be really sad if I went there every 2 months or so?
Aaaaanyway, I finished the day by going to see Superman Returns.
Well, that was pretty good, visually stunning from the opening credit and some truly iconic Superman shots throughout. I dare anyone who watched the original Superman movies as a kid not to give a little shiver when the title music starts. And Brandon Routh looks so much like Chris Reeves sometimes, it's uncanny. He really did nail that charater, as far as I'm concerned. Spacey had his moments as LL. Not convinced about Bosworth about Lois, but I think I picture her differently. So really good for so many reasons, I just expected to be a little more Wowed by it, I guess.
