Today I got to see Kirstin for the first time this summer. Its weird that she lives so close yet we haven't seen each other. Then again, I've had a weird summer where I have just been hanging out with a few people so I haven't seen a lot of people that I normally do each summer. It was good to see her though. The two of us went to see Flogging Molly play at the Intersection which of course rocked. The first band was crazy and pretty good, it was interesting because their show seemed more like a production instead of just a rock show. But in a good way. They had these two girls that would run on stage randomly and play an instrument or sing and it was pretty entertaining. The second band was Throwrag. I saw them open up for Flogging Molly before with the Briggs, and I wasn't impressed they aren't bad but they aren't really good either. I guess there could have been worse bands opening but still. Finally Flogging Molly came on and of course they were fabulous. They are one of my favorite live bands, they always put on a great show. I love dancing to them too but I didn't quite have the energy to do so tonight, but the show was still of course awesome and I got some dancing in it was just unbelievably hot in there and I was sweating more than I do when I work out! GROSS! They dedicated the song "Selfish Man" to George Dub-Ya which was excellent and hilarious plus a great song which I love. After the Kirstin and I were discussing the band and we decided that the lead singer was attractive not in a normal everyday day but in a (phrased coined by Kirstin) "raging Irish" sort of way. And that makes PERFECT sense, because I've always thought he was attractive but never could really describe how until this phrase, Raging Irish, exactly.

My puppy is sleeping on the couch next to me and its the most adorable thing ever so I must go disturb his peace and pet him, its necessary!
