7 stories of heaven
Getting up today was difficult. A bunch of us went out last night... Me, Sierra, Bill, Maggie, Rachel, Harold, his girlfriend Gretchen and our new french friend Mehdi. We went to this one bar called Shywawa or something in the St Michel area which is a very popular student area and has a bunch of bars and clubs and yeah... I drank beer lol. Beer with framboise though so it's kind of cheating but shhhhhh it's the same.
After that we went to privelege which I think is our go-to late night spot seeing we've been there 3 or 4 times in less than a 2 week span. 12 € for a drink is pretty outrageous. That's like 15-16 USD or something. Anyway of course we stay out past 1 when the metro closes, which I don't really understand why it's closed during prime time getting home hours... I mean I can understand a little bit to limit drunken crime sprees but it's inconvenient for those of us who just want to get home cheap.... anyway back to the story at hand... it's like 3am and Maggie, Rachel & Sierra left... Harold and his gf left way before we even got into privelege and so it's just me, mehdi and bill dancing the night away until the metro opens lol damn. Walking home at 630am from the metro is an experience, a cold experience.
Anyway so today I met up with Mehdi at Chatelet and we hopped on the RER to the Galeries Lafayette. Um... he was laughing so much at me... I looked like a kid in a candy store.
It is 7.... seven, sept, seite, sedm, zeven, pito, seiben, saba.... you get the point, SEVEN stories of brands from Yves St Laurent, Dior, Gucci, Fendi, Louis Vuitton, Michael Kors, Balenciaga, Ferragamo, Roberto Cavalli, of course Burberry and my favorite.... Chanel... among many many many more. I was dying inside knowing I couldn't walk out of there with thousands of bags worth of diesel, dolce and emporio armani :( the lacoste polos and versace silhouettes were calling my name like little devils on my shoulder. It was torture. Needless to say I have re-named my budget to the "I don't care if I live off of brie and baguettes" budget and I will be returning to revamp my wardobe to that of Blair Waldorf, my GG idol.
