I have seen Iron Man (but not the second)
I have seen Thor, but not Captain America.
I feel like I need to see these before I can see the Avengers.

Comic book movies fill me with GLEE.

Hmm, I'm not sure if I've seen the second Iron Man, I don't think so.

Comic book movies are pretty awesome. Especially when they are good. Though at the moment I can't really think of any bad ones.

You should at least watch Captain America. It's pretty great. And Iron Man 2 was next to useless except to let you know who Samuel L. Jackson is and why he wants Tony to join the Avengers.

I say this as someone that has seen all the movies, read some of the comics, and watched all the cartoons because I'm a giant dork like that.

IM2 also introduced fans to Natasha/Black Widow.

I love Natasha. I think maybe that new clip of her might be enough of an introduction if someone decides they don't want to watch the movie.

One of my favorite parts of IM2 was the ultimate ass-whooping she put down near the end at Hammer Industries. But I didn't think IM2 was that bad. I like watching Tony hit bottom then climb up again.

She is amazing.

And I like IM2. I rewatched it just the other day (thanks, netflix), so it's obviously up to people to determine if they want to invest time in all the movies or just go watch The Avengers and have fun with what's there.
