Yayyy, 100th Random Helping post! :D

Ahhh~ Don't you just love the sweet taste of freedom when the finals have ended?

I don't care if I only get a measly one week of break but I'm going to enjoy it to the fullest!

How has everyone been? :D

♣ The mood swings I get during "that time of the month" can be pretty nasty. I dunno, for some reason, I tend to either cry at a drop of a hat or would start yelling at my poor brothers over trivial things these past few days. Earlier yesterday, there were loud thunders echoing in the sky; despite the fact that it was completely sunny. And, because of those thunders, my house had a blackout. Twice. I was checking and sorting my mails when it happened so when the power was down, my modem and my laptop (I wasn't using the battery, btw) were shut off. I got so upset that I started to whine to my brother. And then, all of a sudden, I broke down in tears. -_____-;; The mood swings make me feel weird, you guys. I don't even like how I sound so whiny when I usually don't even feel bothered by these trivial stuff. Hurr.

♣ Out of curiosity, I bought a ticket for the U-KISS fanmeet, which is to be held at KL Convention Centre this June 19th. 8D A friend of mine from high school, Elsa, invited me to tag along. She had been inviting me to loads of events before but I declined all of them because I was either busy with other agendas or it was due to time constraints. I felt guilty for declining her invitations all this while, so I decided to check it out. But then again, I don't even know the names of the members! ;o; Sure, I've started on the "homework" by giving their songs a listen, but I have yet to recognise the members by their face and their names! Before I paid for the ticket, I was worried if it was alright for a non-fan like me to join the event when there are others out there who are actually their fan but don't get the chance to go. Elsa managed to assure me that it'll be okay so... I got the ticket! And a free poster. But, um, I don't exactly know what to do with it... Anyone interested? 8D

♣ Last night, another dear friend of mine sent me a message via Facebook, venting her frustrations about how some of the local "professional" cosplayers tend to mistreat and isolate those who are still very new at the cosplay scene. She was thinking of cosplaying Yachiru from Bleach this year. So, she visited Comic Fiesta forum and noticed a topic thread "recruiting" those who are interested in joining the Bleach cosplay photoshoot for the upcoming Comic Fiesta event. Interested, my friend applied for that Yachiru spot she was interested in. Not only was she ignored, she was also blocked from replying the thread. A few days later, she noticed that someone else had occupied the spot she was vying for; most probably an acquaintance of one of those cosplayers.

I don't get it. I mean, even if you do not wish to have a "newbie" for the photoshoot, does it kill you to inform nicely to the person and explain the reason why you rejected instead of just blocking someone off without any concrete reason? That's just plain rude! I totally know how she felt because, I had sort of witnessed such behaviours when I went to the event 2 years ago. I remembered how awkward it got when I requested for photos with the cosplayers at the event. Some of them would stare at their fellow cosplayer friends before they reluctantly agree for photos. And it didn't happen only once or twice. I got so fed-up that I didn't bother to take much pictures in the same following event last year. I had no idea some of them can be pretty vile. Makes me kinda glad that I half-ditched the fandom and went for sparkles instead. 8D

♣ I was reading the music section in Potato when I came across an article about a new band called EastWest Boys. The band name sounds very Japan-like, don't you think? However, the members consist of 5 boys from different parts of LA. Usually, I would've just flip over to the next page, but it somehow caught my interest when I read that it's supposedly a project between the US and Japan? I'm not sure, I couldn't really get much info about them except for this article I found here. And, they've released a single called "Yesterday's Hero" and here's the music video:

ARE YOU SEEING WHAT I'M SEEING??? BLUE, RED, PURPLE, YELLOW, GREEN SUITS??? NOW, DOESN'T THAT LOOK VERY, VERY FAMILIAR??

I SO want to watch the clip where they sang an Arashi song but apparently the video was set to private. ;o; Now, my curiosity just grew bigger.

♣ Speaking of boys, I've finally finished watching my 5x10 Concert DVD!! I don't even know where to begin; the whole performances simply took my breath away. Their anniversary concert last year was so... avant garde that the rain seemed such a trivial matter, despite the fact that it was raining cats and dogs. I'm not going to spoil anything; but you really have to watch it, if you still haven't! I have to say that:

- Jun's solo performance was very muscial-ppoi. It's hot♥ (Kak Salwa mentioned it first and I seriously had to agree with her! :P)
- Sho's voice during his solo performance of Tomadoi Nagara sounded so boy-ish, I couldn't believe it was him at first! But it certainly had me gushing cuz it sounded very adorable.
- Everyone's right. Aiba's rendition of Pika*nchi was all sorts of awesome. The choreography, especially. I had a hard time stopping myself from repeating the performance again and again but I managed to, because I don't want my DVD to be scratched! ;o; I just love how husky he sounded when he sang♥♥♥
- "Believe" and "Crazy Moon" had my adrenaline pumping! I love the effects they had for those 2 performances; simply spectacularly breath-taking!!
- I was in a state of disbelief to discover that this year's DVD doesn't come with a booklet! TT^TT I was SO looking forward to the booklet too; only to discover that there was only a poster inside. (Don't even get me started on the DVD cover. ;o;)
- Kokuritsu concert PWNED!!! Too bad they didn't include the MC at Kokuritsu in the DVD!

Okay, I kinda sound like an ungrateful brat after I said those but no, I love this concert to bits, definitely. 8D They really DO know how to make a concert lively!

Because this post had been too long, have some Jun:

8D That's it for tonight! Gotta wake up early for 5x10 screening tomorrow, yippee!!!
