Random Helping #84: Top 10 Reasons Why...
....I think Mozilla Firefox SO pwns IE in more ways than one.
1. Mozilla loads pictures WAY faster than IE; even with a crappy Internet connection, especially during rainy season.
2. The frequency of Mozilla crashing is far lesser (and almost non-existent; unless there's a good reason for it to happen) compared to IE.
3. IE tends to, more often than not, crash if there are more than 3 tabs opened at the same time. (in my case, anyway)
4. Download rate, bb. I dunno if it happens only in my case but, I notice that the download speed via Mozilla is 3 times higher than via IE.
5. It doesn't take more than 5 minutes to verify a Facebook account if I use Mozilla. Unlike IE.
6. You can't view the tabs that you closed by accident via IE. If it's gone, it's gone. You have to look for that website you went to by yourself. If you're lucky, you might be able to remember the URL. But if you're not so lucky? Good luck looking.
7. Unlike Mozilla, IE doesn't let you "remember the tabs" that you opened in a single session. You know how Mozilla has this pop-up reminder that says "Save tabs before you quit" whenever you're about to quit the browser? Now, THAT can be uber-userful.
8. Again, something to do with speed, it takes less than 2 minutes to buffer a 5-minute video via Mozilla but it takes approximately 10 minutes to buffer a video with the same length using IE. Sometimes I can't be bothered to check YouTube using my laptop these days. :(
9. IE tends to freeze most of the time. (Again, in my case) This happens ocassionally but when it DOES happen, it's frustrating having to switch off from the main power source and reboot it again.
10. IE doesn't let me undo the super-long sentence I deleted by accident after pressing PageDown + BackSpace when I only wanted to press Enter.
"Pfft. Switch to Mozilla if you have so many things to complain about IE!" you might say. I would've done that if my notebook doesn't block Mozilla Firefox. For some weird reason, Mozilla is one of the applications that my notebook blocks and I have absolutely no IDEA why.
