Lactic acid is good for you, yaaayish. It's shuttled to the muscles through the Cori Cycle, blah blah blah liver, blah blah conversion to ATP, remainder converted to glycogen. Also, it helps prevent permanent muscle damage by slowing muscle contraction (i know, that sounds like a contradiction) i don't think that you have a low lactate threshold - i do. I'd suggest that your lactate threshold has improved over the last week.
The build-up, or pain that you may feel tomorrow is amusingly and appropriately called DOMS, or delayed onset muscle soreness. There isn't a 'cure' for it, and anti-inflammatories will help, but will delay the muscle repair, decide! DOMS does indicate some muscle trauma.. and DOMS is a ... uh... inflammatory repair response. I have lots of those.
Please don't gym at the same level tomorrow, especially if you've been biking all week, rest a wee bit. I recommend hot bath. Preferably with assisting wenches.
