Tim sighed as he adjusted his corset one last time. "I look ridiculous." He was going to wait until the last possible moment before putting on his strappy heels.
"Yes. You do." Jay leaned on the doorway, looking Tim over. "However, it's your duty as a Robin to cross-dress for justice."
Tim stopped and stared at Jay for a long moment. He wasn't sure how Jay ever managed to keep a straight face while saying that. "Did that sound as completely cheesy and dumb to you as it did to me?"
"Yeah, but hey, how many other guys can say they got their little brother to wear a skirt without massive amounts of liquor? Now come here so I can do your makeup." Jay gestured Tim into his room.
"I still wonder at the fact you apply eyeliner better than Selina does." Tim sighed and sat on Jay's bed. Jay pulled out a tackle box filled with cosmetics the boys shared.
"Everyone digs the eyeliner," Jay shrugged. "What's the persona I'm working with?" He angled a light for the best affect and set out his brushes as surgically precise as any doctor would their implements, unscrewing pots and tubes, and grabbing the Kleenex box off his dresser. He took in Tim's outfit and selected a variety of colors, tossing the rest back into the box.
"Club girl, slightly slutty," Tim replied. "Why?"
"Different ways of doing your liner," Jay explained. "Goth is different from virginal is different from slutty."
"It's possible you spent too much time cross-dressed for justice," Tim observed.
"That's nice, now stop moving," Jay ordered. "Otherwise I'm gonna poke your eye out. And that'd ruin your makeup and your persona."
Tim tried to keep his flinching under control while Jay applied makeup to his face. Jay sighed as he held Tim's face still with one hand, and angled the lighting better while he applied just enough blush. "Super slutty, or kinda slutty?"
"Ummm, kinda slutty." Tim replied. He was used to Dick doing his makeup, when he had to do this, but Dick had dumped it on Jay. Dick didn't usually ask quite so many questions, but Dick had said that Jay was good with the makeup so Tim was trusting him. He hoped he didn't come out of it looking like the Joker. Jay wouldn't do that to him, would he?
"Dick fixing your hair?" Jay asked.
"I do my own hair," Tim replied. "Can do my own makeup, but it gets smudged a lot more."
"Yeah, you just don't know the tricks yet," Jay smirked. "Close your eyes." Tim closed them waiting patiently, feeling the liquid stuff cross his eye lids and then some other gunk.
"Okay, you're done," Jay finally announced after another five minutes. Tim looked into the mirror. Surprisingly? It was well done.
"Thanks." Tim nodded. He retreated back to his room to do his hair, and god that sounded girly. He was fairly proficient at hair, having spent far too many nights with the girls of Young Justice, hiding from whatever atrocity Kon or Bart were committing, and he was so thankful Kon was doing something with Clark and couldn't catch him and make fun of him. Or worse, like it.
"Alright?" Dick leaned against the doorway.
"One last thing." Tim opened his closet and dug out Kon's leather jacket, slipping into it, and enjoying the Kon-scent. "Perfect."
"Looking good." Dick smiled. "So glad I outgrew being able to do that."
"You would have made a pretty girl when you had long hair." Tim smirked.
"Been spending too much time around Jay again?" Dick sighed. His siblings were always picking on him.
"Yes," Tim admitted easily, swaying his hips while he walked down the hall. Dick shook his head. This should be far weirder than it was.
Tim was glad he'd taken Cassie's advice and scuffed up the bottoms of his high heels before trying to wear them at the club. He had a feeling that he'd have done face plant after face plant if he hadn't. And that wouldn't have lured in the marks. And he'd found them, and they'd come to him, just like he'd planned. One more night of this, and he'd be done with this disguise, letting Haley drift off into nothingness until next time.
He popped some gum, bored of the scene though he’d never tell anyone that, waiting for the last mark to approach when he was hugged from behind. He suppressed his urge to kick whoever had the gall to do that, and turned around with a practiced, breathy giggle.
"Hey gorgeous." Kon's low voice filled his ears. "How's about a dance?"
"Sure," 'Haley' giggled, dragging Kon out to the dance floor. Tim glared at Kon once they were out there, grinding against him, staying in character. "What are you doing here?"
"Got finished early, came to find you," Kon admitted. "Missed you."
"Missed you too, so much." Tim pressed close against him.
"Wearing my jacket?" Kon lifted an eyebrow.
"For the disguise." Tim shrugged.
"Could have borrowed Jay's," Kon observed.
"Yours smells better," Tim replied, nuzzling at Kon. Kon wrapped his arms around Tim tightly.
"Got anything more to do, or are you ready to go home?" Kon asked.
"Let's go home." Tim nodded. "I've completed my objectives for the night." Kon wrapped an arm around Tim's shoulders, and lead him out into an alleyway.
"You make a gorgeous girl," Kon observed, admiring Tim’s disguise Tim shrugged and looked down, blushing slightly.
"If you say so," he finally replied. "Make you miss dating girls?"
"I have you now, why would I miss girls?" Kon smiled at Tim. Girls were fine, but they definitely weren’t his Tim.
"You seem to like me in this," Tim gestured to his outfit.
"I like you in anything," Kon kissed him. "Or nothing." He kissed him harder. "Especially nothing."
Tim laughed and curled around Kon, enjoying his inhuman heat, letting it soak into him. Kon carried Tim to the manor through the sky route, and set them down in their bedroom. He took Tim's clothing off, an item at a time and laid Timmy flat on their bed, removing his own clothing absently. He laid down next to Tim, and kissed him again, taking his time to explore Tim's mouth thoroughly. It had been far too long since they'd had time to be together, not since their impromptu vacation and he was crossing his fingers that they wouldn't be interrupted yet again.
