Summary: Dick’s almost too warm, but doesn’t care..
Dick yawned, slowly sinking into the waking world. He was almost too warm, but he wouldn’t change the cause of why for an instant. He smiled and nuzzled Tim’s hair, noting Tim had once again drooled on his shoulder, and not really caring in the slightest.
Bracketed by two of the people he loved most in the world, he found he didn’t really care about much at all. Well, he’d like to roll over a bit, as his arm had fallen asleep, but Jay on his other side kind of blocked that motion. Jay’s arm was slung over Dick, resting on Tim’s hip, not quite as on top of Dick as Tim was, but curled close even still. He carefully tried to inch his arm out from under Jay.
“St’p moving, and go b’ck to sl’p.” Jay punched him in the shoulder, glaring sleepily. Dick smiled at the almost sweet looking Jay that was so different from his waking self.
“It’s Dick, he never stops.” Tim yawned from the other side, snuggling closer to Dick.
“I do too. Sometimes.” Dick frowned.
“No, you don’t. And some of us would like to get a few more hours sleep before we have to be awake again, to go to the Tower and be leader.” Tim leaned up to claim a kiss from Dick. Dick gave the requested kiss. Tim resumed his position, falling back to sleep easily, secure in the knowledge that he was safe, Jay not far behind after claiming his own kiss.
Dick closed his eyes, not ready to fall asleep again just yet. And darn it, his arm was still trapped beneath Jay. Deciding to make the best of it, he used his trapped arm to pull Jay closer, and finally fell asleep, with his loves on either side.
