Day Eleven: Favorite female character in a children’s show
Now this one is a bit difficult but I’m going to go with the Young Justice version of Black Canary. I ADORE how she’s the fighting trainer, that they realise she’s that kick ass. And then she steps up to be Superboy’s mentor while Superman fails utterly, as is his wont to do in situations that require his active ongoing responsibility.
Day Twelve: Favorite female character in a movie
Oh buggering hell. This isn’t evne the WORST question and still there’s a huge fucking list of people who are my favorite female characters from movies! You want me to narrow it down to ONE?
Fine, Kelly Jones, from St Trinians. I love her, she’s bad-ass she leads a group of girls with no rules, she’s not concerned with boys, and takes fiendish delight in shooting down the one male in the film. She also is fun, sweet, and Catwoman in training.
Day Thirteen: Favorite female character in a book
Now this is the hardest question EVER. Do you KNOW how many awesome females there are in books? No? Well, the list would far exceed any character limit on either LJ or Dreamwidth. But...since I have to pick one, I’mma go with Ella, from the book Ella Enchanted. The movie was a piece of fluffy nonsense but the book? OMG The book was AWESOME. Ella was bad-ass, spunky, she had CHARACTER. She wasn’t just sweet and nice and singing to animals or giants or whatever.
She was a linguist, and went to finishing school and she was clutzy and learned how to take care of the kitchen with her Godmother and she refused the prince because of her curse. She also found her own slippers. She had a wonderful stubborn character and once she was uncursed she loved to say no.
Day Fourteen: Favorite older female character
Y’all can guess what my answer is if you’ve been following my journal for any length of time. Victora from RED. I adore her because seriously, how can you beat an old broad with a machine gun or sniper rifle? The answer? Don’t even try. I love her characterization I love how they point out that she had to love her lover because she didn’t shoot him in the head.
