I have been given another opportunity to teach creative writing. It's so cool, I finally feel as though I'm achieving something.
I'm going to spend a couple of days at our local college talking about taking creative writing as a degree, the stuff I've learned etc to a bunch of 14 - 19 year olds. I'm even getting paid for it. Woo hoo! I'm pretty excited about it, actually. The woman I spoke to was really cool and inspiring, and I think it'll be great.
I have - get this, heheheh - started to prepare my first lecture! Arghh! Basically it's just the introduction to the Starting Your Novel module I'm going to run in summer, but it's a start. I've also written out a short introduction to narrative terms. yesterday I was thinking - is this what I really want to do - teach? I felt very ambivalent about it because all I really want to do is write. But today I'm beginning to feel better about it again. Just hope I can put my subject across well. I mean, I know it, but will I be able to project it?
Have been writing like a crazy fool too. Plotting my next chapter of 'Resurrection', planning new stories. At times like this, I love my life!
