Hello persons, i know it's been a while. but hey it's been the holidays so i'm allowed. the past month went by fast but seemed to take for ever if you know what i mean. one of my best friends had her fourth baby boy, Justin Wyatt. cute as a button. work has been trying. really hard season. bit rougher than normal. Christmas was pretty good. it was mom, dad, both my brothers and my oldest brothers fiance. i got the books i asked for from dad, mom got me some sweaters and jewelry and a foot spa. sara made me a scarf and gave a belt and socks, shannon got me a blanket and some lotion and bath salts, kari got me lord of the rings tear away calendar. well leads me to tonight. my big brother is getting married. despite, my now confirmed by a doctor upper respitory infection i'm going and taking pictures. should be lots of fun if i can muster up enough energy. lol. although the antibiotics and the antihistamine/decongestant are beginning to work.
thought i'd make a list of things that i'm thankful for i know it seems over done but it truely isn't done enough, cause too much is taken for granted...
* my parents, for loving me and slowly pushing me out on my own. i'm a bit odd in that respect. i tend to resist change even though i know it's good for me. my mother's silliness and heart, she's taught me more than she'll ever realize. my dad, is one of the smartest people i know, superhuman brain almost but his temper tantrums and strange comments make him all the more human every time he opens his mouth to talk. :) i love them both. they are there when i truely need them (especially when in ireland and you've lost a credit card lol )
* my friends, i've had some adventures with some and just met others. Liz, Ireland was phenomenal. thank you for sharing that with me. it's made me grow a bit. all i want for you is for you to be happy. Vena, i've watched you grow this year, bigger and bigger, lol i know you were pregnant most of this year. but it paid off. you've got a beautiful baby boy. of course this is your fourth but he's still beautiful and healthy. God Bless you this year. Sara and Kari, you guys are pretty much family now. i love you guys. thanks for Sunday nights and odd but fun road trips. and being supportive.
* for my trip to Eire, didn't know you could fall in love with a place. it was an eye opener and a learning experience, in so many ways. one being, knowing how many drinks it takes to knock me off my feet. lol. met lots of new people. had some interesting conversations, including one about red hair, freckles, and leprechauns, all while in pajamas. lol. learned the joy of cadbury's chocolate. glad they don't sell it in the states or i'd be in trouble. i loved Ireland so much that if it came down to moving there i might just do it, or if i ever win the lottery i'd buy a house there. :o)
ok fast forward in time some, it's now one in the morning on the first day of 2005. just got back from my brothers wedding reception party. it was a lot of fun. met some really nice people. it was nice to spend new years in a family sort of environment. even had some bubbly which to be honest doesn't go so well with antibiotics. bit woozy at the moment and ready for bed. the house the reception was at was gorgeous, it's off of otterdale road. the driveway has to be at least a mile long into the woods. and the house is at least 5000 square feet. but that isn't what makes it neat. it's the family in it. anywho i best be getting to bed. you know me though i'll probably read for an hour or so and pass out. so good night...farewell 2004. Happy New Year everyone! God Bless!
