A Weekend's This & That
Okay, on Friday, I got my laptop back. However, the other day, the System Restore disc went home with someone else's computer. So they have to get that back from him (which they attempted to contact him on Friday) but will have it back to me tomorrow. On the upside of things, I now have an 80GB hard drive in there instead of a 40GB one.
Friday night our SF group had our Christmas/Solstice party. It was all quite nice. Pitty I was so tired to really enjoy it - and I had to leave early as I was working the last of six night shifts that night.
Last evening we had over for dinner my father's brother and wife, my cousin's wife Kathy (my cousin was down in St. Stephen with their oldest son playing hockey), Kathy & Bruce's youngest son, and a friend of my uncle & aunt. I was rather tired as well.
Today is the concert for Le Choeur du Soulanges - the local French choir. My mom does the piano accompaniments (and more often than not the arrangements - completely re-writing the current music that exists or designing an arrangement that is not there). She's been playing for the choir for 11 yrs now. Anyway, the point of this whole paragraph for me it is that I'll be turning the pages for her.
At least I'm not back to work til tomorrow night. And I slept 12 hrs last night. So feeling pretty good now. Ironed my clothes that I need for this afternoon/evening. The dogs are at me now to put them out to do their thing, before having lunch.
