Birthday
Had a lovely 'surprise' belated birthday picnic yesterday thrown by my friends here in Canters. I say 'surprise' because I knew they were going to do something, but I had no idea what, so it was a lovely surprise when I was blindfolded, dragged out the house and led to a tiny park by Becca's house where everyone was sitting, dressed in 1950s style clothes and with jam sandiches, cake and presents (there were also some very nice Kettle Chips, but George ate them all).
Apparently, Becca has painted me something which is not quite ready yet, which is intriguing... And Jo got me the Serenity graphic novel which is so very cool. It's like having an extra episode. :D
Random: what is the chip and pin etiquette with credit cards these days? I mean, if I put the card straight in the machine, I get dirty looks, if I give it to the cashier I get dirty looks? Is there something else I'm meant to be doing or do I just get surly assistants when I pay with card?
