Still doing my Viking research and I can't find this. Watched "The Story of Civilization: The Viking Age" yesterday and he mentioned something I can't spell, therefore can't find to correct the spelling.
One of the scholars mentioned Europe had three threats around the same time (900-1000 approximately): The Saracens from North Africa, the Vikings from the North and West and the ________ horsemen on the Hungarian Plains.
It sounds like he said Magiard - but I can't find any reference to them so I know I'm spelling it wrong. Does anyone have a suggestion where to check? I've tried horsemen in 900, Hungarian plains, and so forth and still can't find it.
