As in, I told hubs I HAVE to have at least one day a week completely OFF from work for mental and physical health. We've been working some insane hours lately. As in, I'm working full time and then some and I'm really not healthy enough for that schedule. We are on article #3 now in addition to the website and other crazy things we've been doing. But...today is my practically day off. I did work for Bobert 2 hours this morning because it was a better day to work for him than tomorrow.
Then I wrote with my writerly bff for about 3.5 hrs. Yay! She and I are planning to go to a writerly conference together this fall. It's not our first one together-so we know we are compatible travel companions, but it's been about 15 years! YIKES. I'm very stoked right now. I think this is the positivity injection I've been needing and I was willing to do a writerly conference alone (and hubs could be my tag-along if it was a nice location where he could do stuff while I was at the con) but this is SO much better to have a good writing companion going instead.
On the topic of road trips, hubs did recognize how hard we - and also acknowledged me- have been working lately. Our finances aren't out-of-country awesome right now, but we are in good roadtrip status, and we are thinking of going to Galena, IL (wine country) next week. I'm so ready for a getaway.
Dance tomorrow. I'm hunkering down and staying home where I can because I'm just so exhausted right now. So, after tomorrow's dance, I'm not sure how much more I'll be adding to my schedule in the next month-ish.
It's gloomy and chilly today with a cold drizzle, but tomorrow is supposed to be nicer, though still a bit cool. I am binge-watching Expedition X right now, and writing some poetry in between. And blog posts. 😂 I still have only been able to catch a few of your posts, so I'll be working on that a bit tonight too.
Happy Thursday! Tomorrow is Friday already--this week went by quickly. Take precious care of you!! 💕
