A note to Maine voters

Or rather, 50ish% of you.

Jessica is very, very disappointed in you.

Why do people have to suck so much?

I know a number of religious straight people who are just as angry and disappointed as I am. Intolerant, selfish people suck. A lot.

51% of Maine: Clinging To A Past That Never Existed In The First Place.

BUT(tsex).

Here is a heartening statistic that proves, as so many do, that while we're disappointed now, it's really just a matter of a few short years:

Final numbers are in from [University of Maine]-Orono campus- 81% No, 19% Yes.

That was one of the nice things when Iowa passed their rule one of their officials, I can't remember if it was the governor or one of the reps, made the comment that he changed his vote to yes on gay marriage after his teenage daughter told him off for being stupid.

They can be taught.

*sigh*

I'm relieved my home state represented last night and kept the crazy conservative teabagger guy out of office (NY-23). That's something. And I think Washington State went for protecting the "everything but marriage" law (so far, the results are all in).
