Took the small fanperson to see Frozen today, joining
lydiabell's family. As always, the two little girls were incredibly well-behaved.
The movie get two thumbs up from both me and the small fanperson. She doesn't seem quite as bowled over as she was with Brave, but that may be a matter of (a)less hype beforehand and (b)her all-consuming obsession with Equestria Girls.
For my part, I enjoyed it very much. It was generally a pleasant ride with some gorgeous animation, and at least two moments that (as
as the Flick Filosopher says, made me go, "Holy hell, someone at Disney is FINALLY GETTING IT." As movie moments go, there have been very few that have truly soared on the level of
Elsa throwing away her gloves and singing, "Let It Go," her face alight with the pure joy of her powers.
I think I need a home viewing to really have deep thoughts about the movie (I was distracted today by seriously bad pain in my foot), but it's definitely going to join our DVD collection.
