Titanic, again

I had a pretty good weekend. I stayed up way too late on Friday night, after we watched the previous night's episode of Vampire Diaries we ended up watching the Phantom and it just got so late so quick. Slept in later than I meant to on Saturday, but did manage to catch up on dishes and other assorted housework. Am super impressed that the flowers I planted on Easter have not all died already, and in fact, more of them are blooming. Walked to the grocery store and discovered that my apartment really does stay a comfortable temperature even when it's in the upper 80's outside. Blah, I do not do well in the heat. Made Salmon Casserole for dinner then Kt and I went to see Titanic in the theaters. Neither of us had really planned on going to see it in the theaters, but after watching it on the small screen last week, we both decided we really did want to see it on the big screen again. I thought for the most part the 3D conversion was well done, but it really didn't add anything to the movie and so was really unnecessary. The only part that I was really impressed with the 3D were the underwater sequences in the very beginning. Also, there were a couple moments of weird blurriness, and I felt a little headachy afterwards, and that might have been the 3D. But, even though we had just watched it, I was totally into the film, the 3hrs and 20mins flew by, and I still cried at the end.

Yesterday, I went with Noel to Sebastopol, and we went to the farmers' market and walked around the downtown, then stopped in a couple of antique stores on the drive home. It wasn't as hot as Saturday which was nice. Then after hanging out at my place a bit and meeting up with Kt, we walked over to Kyoto for sushi. Yum. I also got to see Noel's house, so that was cool.
