First look on Pomeroy

Hello out there!

So, as promised, some pics from my first (and my only) Sims 2 Neighbourhood Pomeroy. It's based on Veronaville. When I started playing Sims 2 four years ago, I had a crush on those timber-framed houses. On the one side of Pomeroy most of the houses are still in timber-framed-style, some are old-fashioned cottages. On the other side ( Read more... )

Patty's really pretty and your neighbourhood is looking great. :)

As for improving your pictures... there's this useful tutorial here:

and fabulous mods:

and fraps because the in-game camera sucks:

and two wonderful editing tutorials by nilou and eversims which will definitely work on GIMP, even if you can't use actions:

and general composition tips:

These are all the things I found really useful, as well as just looking at other people's pictures and figuring out what looks nice. Also, a personal tip I had to work around myself: when I started taking photos I had no idea how to get rid of the sim's action queue for an invisible UI, and didn't think of the obvious solution. Switch to buy/build/options mode! Sorry if all this is too much! I hope you find at least some of it useful. :)

Wow! Thank you very much!! Never thought that one could do so much more with ingame pics! I started with Eversims tutorial, and tried some other things and for the moment I'm satisfied. But it could be better :-)

Some pics I will show you are a few years old, newer pics are better (better qualitiy ingame etc.). But I will try and try ^^

Thanx a lot!!

Hurray! I'm so glad it was helpful to you. :) I made my own actions loosely based on the methods detailed by eversims, so I recommend tweaking the various techniques until you find something that you like and fits your personal aesthetic. :)

Can't wait to see more pictures!
