Once again, I find my self up much latr than I should be. Last night I was not able to go to sleep for reasons that escape me, mostly restlessness. Tonight, I have been working on homework that I neglected this past weekend. It is much quieter in the house late at night, not that I want to avoid talking or interacting with anyone here, but there are much fewer distractions, allowing me to get more done, but it is exhausting being up this late so often without the opportunity to rest up between these all night sessions I find myself a part of.
After a bit of a snit regarding my "big" job in the Cam this past wekend, things have settled down and I am able to get soem work done there too. I am still not sure what to do about the Forsaken venue. I feel that I should devote more time to it, but I am continually disappointed by the low turnout at games and the low motivation by the players that do show up to do more than get their XP for the day. My time is at a premium, and though I could manage it better, I keep finding that I am asking myself if the investment is worth the rewards.
My job at the college is getting better. I find that most of my frustration is due to many of the folks I work with are just as clueless as I am about how things should go, despite many of them having been doing the job for sometime longer than I have. Like many things, if I continue to look busy, I am often left to my own devices.
ICC is fast approaching and I am not sure what I intend to accomplish there. A few eeks ago my goals would have been clear but more and more I am discouraged by the chaotic nature of the various venues and the way the club is currently being run. I would like more guidance but do not really desire more structure, that would seem to go along with it. The club is run by volenteers, and hence the biggest weakness of the organization, but I doubt I would have it any other way.
