[Minato doesn't remember what happened, having been affected by Namine, but Knuckles had caught him up. And so when Tails asks to come over, Minato isn't terribly surprised. His voice, however, is gentle.]

[Feed shuts off and after a while there's a knock on Minato's bedroom door.]

[There's quite a bit of worry in that voice. Minato's also scooted over to the far side of his bed so that Tails can climb right into it if he wants to be closer when they talk.]

[He peeps in before stepping fully into the room. He's managed to fashion a rather long glove for his right hand- it reaches a little past his elbow.]

Leonardo let me in and...uhm...

[He's walked up to the foot of bed, peering over the side and trying to get a good look at Minato.]

You're okay, right?

[Commentlog.] ... Danny's teaching Donny to pun in Danny's newest post. XD

[Minato smiles.] Of course. I'm recovering quickly!

[And then he pats next to him before offering Tails a hand up.] Come on up here. I made room.

[Because you'll be more comfortable sitting or laying down.]

[Commentlog.]oh no ;_;

[He uses his left hand to get up on the bed, sitting a little awkwardly besides the much bigger human.]

Good. I don't like seeing my friends hurt.

[And you did do something kind of dumb, Minato...]

[Commentlog.] He's also making sure it's loud enough for Leo to hear. ^_________^

I could say the same thing.

[He smiles at Tails softly and reaches over to ruffle his fur. Tails is in range, now!

Minato knows he did. He also knows it worked.]

... How are you holding up, kiddo?

[Commentlog.] and leo is just facepalming :|

I'm okay.

[He squirms a little at the hair ruffling, half-heartedly pushing Minato's arm away.]

It doesn't hurt at least.

[Minato lets Tails push his arm away, leaning back into his pillows.]

That's good... I was worried that it might.

[Have a concerned Minato looking at you.]

Do you need anything from me?

[Commentlog.] /GROAN\ remind me to lessen the *pun*ishments

It's, just sort of heavy.

[His ears flatten against his head and he glances up at Minato. He's never asked for anything affectionate before- ever so he isn't sure if he's suppose to so...for now he'll be happy with just the older man talking to him.]

*head shake* I just wanted to see if you were doing better.

[Commentlog.] XDDD /added that into the last reply, too. AND FFFFFFF.

[Minato's chest hurts a bit when he sees the little fox's ears flatten against his head, so he reaches over and drops an arm around his shoulders. Poor kid could probably use a hug.]

I am. Slowly.. not nearly as fast as I'd like, but I'll be on my feet in no time. [He gives the kid a reassuring grin.] And we'll get you fixed up, too. Don't worry too much, all right?

[Commentlog.] ah geez!

[He doesn't push the arm away this time, he sort of leans into it.]

I really messed up...I didn't even think about what effect this would have with my chip still in. The emeralds were unstable to begin with and with the sudden shift from three separate sets to a single one, the stability became half of what it was! Then connecting two emeralds with the same polarity I...I'm not surprised all of this happened.

[Commentlog.] 8D Donny is enjoying himself.

[Minato shifts to make them both more comfortable. He's listening.. and well, he looks a little lost, but he tries to follow what the kid's saying, and sorta gets it.]

So basically... you should've been more careful?

[Commentlog.] you are both terrible

[He lets Minato shift them, even with a crystal arm, Tails doesn't weigh very much. Though the arm does hang rather limply at his side as he presses his cheek carefully against Minato.

Sonic used to comfort him like this, when he was really, really young. Before then though, he couldn't even remember if he had anyone.]

Y-yeah but...it...*pause to collect himself* I didn't think Amy would almost be hit! Or that Knuckles would have to use Chaos Control to stop it! I really just needed to unplug the battery, but I couldn't get close to it without getting hit. I've been hit with Chaos Energy before and it never hurt before, just felt warm and tingles when it goes over your nerves.

[Now he has to stop because he's starting to ramble and hiccup a little. It was starting to sink in just what could have happened. He had seen the master emerald- read about the myths and legends of the emeralds. Seen what they had done to his world in the hands of hearts filled with hate.]

[Minato listens to him, eyes softened, and doesn't interrupt. When he pauses to hiccup, Minato shifts them again so that his upper arm and elbow mostly wrap around Tails back, tilting his forearm up so he can place his hand on the top of Tails' head. He closes his eyes and leans just that much closer.]

... you had me scared, Tails. I'm... just glad we can figure this out. Because we will figure this out, and we'll get you back to normal.

[That makes Tails blink and look up, letting Minato speak before leaning back against the other man. He rubs his eye in surprise and stares at the modified glove.]

I'm sorry! I didn't want to worry anyone! I...I didn't think the com had been hit, really!
