I swear, it seems sometimes all you have to do it's think about it.
Just doing my habitual roll and I find this delicious fic, are you picking my brains? I swear, I have watch just one episode of "The Eleventh Hour" and two of "The Mentalist" trying to wreak my head into a possible Jacob/Patrick (no neckties, pretty suits, georgeous boys) and then I find this. Also the girls whom I don't altogether hate, like sometimes happens."Rachel is back in a few minutes, proceeded by both Jane and Dr. Hood. Keeping them in front of her - Lisbon can appreciate that.
Everything so, so... great. "How did you know it was him?" continues Jacob, a lilt in his voice. Patrick sprawls back on the couch. "You ever had really good sex?" yeesss.
(I hope you don't mind if I join this community, since it's likely that i won't comment much. I'm not big on most of your fandoms, but expect me to be here whenever some Bruce/Blonsky or Patrick/Hood pops out)
XD I think a whole lot of people were thinking about it. I mean. I certainly was.
I have to say, I'm not overly fond of Lisbon, but I think I'm biased, because as far as Robin Tunney is concerned I really disliked her character, and the plot surrounding her character, in Prison Break. But it just thematically fit that she was a part of this particular fic.
Oh, absolutely - most of the people on this comm don't comment much, I have a huge variety of fandoms. Glad to have you around ~_^
Pretty, blond, and ready to take over. Lisbon dislikes her immediately.
Hahaha, yes, yes she would.
Patrick’s smile vanishes from his mouth - still around his eyes, though, Jacob sees - and he gives a faux-solemn nod.
I really like this line. The observation by Hood that Patrick's still smiling even if his mouth isn't committing the deed. And the faux-solemn nod, because I can SO see Jane doing that.
“I never thought I’d have to deal with two of them,” says Lisbon, aside, to Rachel. Rachel lets a smile twist her mouth. Allies, thinks Lisbon.
Oh my god, YES. Yes yes yes. *coff* I actually don't like Rachel very much, but you're making me like her in fic form, so this is most excellent. :D
“Your mind to my mind,” intones Patrick, “your thoughts to my thoughts-” Jacob tries - and fails - to suppress the involuntary smile.I squeaked at this. Literally
( ... )
Lisbon does seem rather territorial :P I think it might be interesting to explore a longer fic with conflict between her and Rachel.
You know, I loved Rachel in the pilot, but she hasn't been quite as funny since. I mean, I still like her a lot, but the quips between her and Jacob haven't popped as much since then.
Yeah, I saw a couple episodes of 'Life', and I really loved it, but I never got the chance to watch the rest. I'll see if I can get caught up on the rest.
And whoops, you're definitely right about that. I'll go ahead and fix it :P
I would love to see Lisbon vs. Rachel expanded. Somehow I'm getting more and more into the idea of alpha females duking it out. Probably 'cause we haven't really had a lot of alpha chicks in TV, and now there seems to be a good boom of them. I've been juggling the idea of Lisbon vs. Reese from Life in my head. It's fun! It'd be great to see you poke further into Lisbon/Rachel.
Sad to hear that Rachel and Hood haven't been vibing as much. I've been meaning to give it another shot. It's on the queue. Somewhere. Heh.
You know, honestly, I feel like I'd do better with Rachel/Reese. In fact, I think that may have just turned into a bunny. I can feel how the dynamic would go, and as soon as I do that, it's basically a done deal. Though I should watch a little more Life before I actually give it a shot.
See, I don't really like Lisbon that much - probably because the character she played in Prison Break was awful, and I can't quite get past how thoroughly bad it was.

That was great~ Patrick's seduction of Hood was both spot on in character, amusing, and mysteriously hot~
