Well, I finally saw it last night.
Pride and Prejudice - 2005 version - the one with Kira Knightly.
I tried throughout the movie not to compare it with my BELOVED A&E version of Pride and Prejudice and for the most part succeeded.
I LIKED the movie, I did not love it. It does not replace the A&E version in my heart. I do realize that this version is much more "realistic" in their station and social standing. There were chickens in the yard, pigs, and other farm animals. The girls were not dressed lavishly and most often, their hair looked disarrayed and the looked as if they didn't have a bit of makeup on. They looked real.
That being said, it just didn't have any spark for me. It had moments of it, but not something that kept me thrilled throughout.
So, I give it three stars and will continue to watch the A&E Version.
