I bought the book "
Last Minute Knitted Gifts" a while back and have been meaning to get around to doing some of the wonderful patterns out of it. The one I really wanted to do is on the cover of this bag. Maybe its just me, but my definition of a Last Minute Gift is something I can put together quickly and easily. (knitting or otherwise)
So I was a bit shocked when this bag took me longer to knit than to do THREE Squatty Sidekicks. And this is an easy pattern. Its mainly stockinette in the round. Mindless knitting actually. The ONLY time I had to pay attention is when I did the eyelet row. Maybe if I had knitted the smallest bag (I knit the largest) and maybe if I had used a different yarn (I used Sinfonia), this would qualify as a last minute knitted gift. Would I do it again - maybe....
