SQUEE! (Wow, I haven't used that word in ages,)
I am so excited about this weekend. I got off work to go on a geology fieldtrip to a place called Moscow Landing, which apparently has distinct K/T (Cretaceous/Tertiary, or, when the dinosaurs were wiped out,) impact-related features. It's possible that we could even find FOSSILS, although if I remember correctly, wasn't Alabama underwater at that time? I know it was for at least most of the Mesozoic, but I'm not so sure about the end... Oh well, it will still be very interesting, I'm sure!
I feel lke this is my first real brush with what I've always dreamed of. We'll be camping out and exploring the rocks and who knows what we'll find and GYAHH!! I cannot wait!!
Leaving 4 PM Friday, and I'll be back by 5 PM Sunday.
