Tuition paid late, but with no hassle, check.
Admissions mix up where they said they were missing my high school transcript after graduation(??!!) all cleared up, check.
Bureaucratic crap here goes so much smoother than just about any other I've ever dealt with. Or maybe I've just been lucky?
Got my PHYSICS TEST OF DOOM that I didn't study for one bit back today. Made a "C", like I expected. But! It also had a big "SEE ME AFTER CLASS" scrawled on it in ominous red ink. I told my professor I'd have to come back later during his office hours because I had to get to geology. Needless to say, I was dreading it throughout that entire class.
When I got to Dr. Varghese's office he just asked me to explain why I'd answered number one (a question copied straight from one of the examples in the text book, which I hadn't studied and got dead wrong,) the way I did, completely differently from everyone else in the class. So I tentatively explained my reasoning, and he seemed very impressed! He said I showed a deeper understanding of the basic concepts of physics and gave me full credit for the question, bringing me up to a nice happy B. Wow, what a relief...
I really do like my waitressing job still, but it's extremely stressful and tiring. I could have just collapsed on the floor last night when I was finished, I was so exhausted. I'm averaging $15 an hour, though, with tips, so I definitely can't complain. It would be stupid of me to give it up.
Besides, I think I was practically meant to be a waitress. I'm always cheerful, friendly, and accommodating toward strangers, whether or not I'm getting paid for it, and that definitely has a positive affect on my tips!
Yeah, life is going pretty well right now. :D
