Today was a good day.
First of all, got to work early as hell so that meant I got to finish early as hell and was done by 12:30 PM and since it's summer Fridays and we can leave early, I proceeded to do so. I left with Marc and we went to Universal to pick up tickets to The Police show. I got 2 tix. Cost me 100 dollars. They're upper level but hey at least I get to see The Police, can't complain. David is probably going with me if he doesn't have to work on Tuesday night. If not, looks like Luis will step up to the plate. I originally thought of taking Chris but he's in Ecuador. I got some cool CDs today. They gave me the Deluxe Edition re-issue of Def Leppard's "Hysteria", that's a classic record right there.
Anyways since I left early I got home at 2:30 PM, ate lunch, and passed out for like 3 hours. Man that nap felt so nice. I talked to Mariana for a bit on MSN as she was prepping for a house party for her friend Daniela's b-day. My plan for the night was something that Luis had brought up a while ago. He found out that they were going to do a Radiohead laserlight show at the Planetarium and he wanted to go. I wanted to go to as I'm a huge Radiohead fan, still my favorite concert going experience ever. Anyways he came over around 6 PM and chilled at my crib for a bit. We made some time and then Kat came over. The 3 of us left and went to pick up one of Luis' friends.
When we got to the planetarium, we were hoping to catch one of the Pink Floyd shows as well, we saw that it was majorly packed. There were so many kids getting high, it was too funny. At the ticket counter we found out that Pink Floyd was sold out, luckily, Radiohead hadn't sold out just yet but it was going to. We bought our tix and in order to make time, went over to Casola's pizza to get a slice. That's the best pizza in Miami and it's the pizza that most closely resembles NY pizza anywhere outside of NY in my opinion. It is gigantic and delicious.
We went back to the planetarium once we were done and got in line, it was so packed but the show was worth it. It was really good and the music was the bomb. They didn't play anything off of "The Bends", so that kinda sucked but in general it was very cool. We weren't high, I wonder if we would have been, how we would have seen the show. It was a very, very trippy show.
After the show Luis and I went to talk to the planetarium dudes to make suggestions about other artists to use. Amongst our suggestions were: The Mars Volta, The Cure, Smashing Pumpkins, The Rapture, LCD Soundsystem, Chemical Brothers, etc. I told them that Pink Floyd is awesome and all, but they should use other bands to try to get a lot more audiences. They have something pretty cool that I feel could be much better.
So now I'm home, just here on the computer, checking emails and what not and writing this blog entry.
PS: I think I got a damn virus on my computer!!! Running Norton Security right now to find out. Sure enough the virus is on Internet Explorer. I love you Firefox.
