I'm going to stuff this post full of links I've found... things to do with the boys that I think they would enjoy. Some are experiments, some are crafts, some are way more complicated than I think I can really do, but I love a good challenge. If you're interested at all, you may want to add to memories because I'm just going to keep adding here and once we try an activity, I'll make notes about it and/or post pictures, etc.
If you have other crafty ideas/posts, please feel free to throw them out there. I love collecting links and having a backlog of activities to do with the boys if they are unruly/bored or we just need to break out of the rut.

http://www.firstpalette.com/Craft_themes/Alphabet_and_Numbers/Number_Caterpillar/Number_Caterpillar.html magic lines (using tape & glue - this will be a HUGE hit because my kids LOVE tape):
http://laughpaintcreate.blogspot.com/2009/05/magic-lines.html ladybugs: (we also have these paint dot things... they look like bingo daubers - and I am sure you can use those... and that they would be CHEAP to find whereas I was foolish and bought those dumb dots, I'm a sucker)

"clean" mud:
http://www.placeofourown.org/activity.php?id=45 another thing along those same lines - Simon LOVES using a cheese grater (I just got a cheapie one at the dollar store) and grating soap (again, dollar store). We tried crayons, but they are too small and I get nervous that he's going to cut his fingers. He actually started doing this when he was 2 - close to 3, and Declan has done it as well, though I don't trust him as much since he's a bit of a spaz.
GLUE:
creating birds and then having a bird race (good for Easter time/spring):

this isn't a link, but I thought I'd throw it out there. Last week at walmart, I bought foam frames (they came in packs of two and are magnetic, pretty dang cute and would be a great mother's day gift for nana), foam stickers according to their current obsessions, foam star stickers and foam glue (because I am too dumb to figure out that STICKERS = sticky, obviously). these turned out really cute and the boys LOVED making them. The plus is that since it was stickers and we didn't need to use glue, it wasn't AS messy. Walmart has a lot of foam activities grouped all together and we've had a lot of success with all of them (and we've actually used the foam + foam glue and it works nicely).
