Shit guys I just wrote what is ideally my last essay for my BA. Fuck. Yes. Also if I ace it I will have gotten straight A+'s in both Historiography and Methodology because I am fucking awesome at history. 1) Terezi is so goddamn refreshing. I don't really know what it is about her, but I have a hard time pinning her down into a set of recognizable tropes. There's something inherently original about her- flirtatious, canny, justice obsessed and possessed of a startling emotional maturity in contrast to her frankly trollish persona. I love the trappings of Terezi's character- her horrible hyena laugh and the way she sort of slouches around with that bent-over-a-computer-too-long hunch, her ability to manipulate people so effortless either for ill or for their own good.

But but but, Terezi more than any of the trolls has really gotten over a lot of her shit and that alone makes her interesting. I don't know- she's hard to sum up. She's COMPL1C4T3D.

2) I'd say so. One of the most important of the trolls. The power behind Karkat's throne and arguably the troll who has had the most kid interaction. She also was responsibly horrible doomed timeline Davesprite had to live through.

3) I actually do relate to Terezi in pieces? Combine Rose and Terezi and you've got me as a teenager. But that's really stretching things, I don't usually relate to fictional characters strongly. I think Terezi is just brilliantly built around Libra cliches and I am a Libra cliche.

5) Terezi and Vriska's kismesis is the great Homestuck romance that never happened imo, although I appreciate (as a Vriska fan) the sort of hollowness in the fact that Terezi just doesn't give a shit about you anymore you backstabbing bluh bluh hueg bitch. But Vriska tries so hard. I can appreciate the canon standing of Terezi/Karkat, but it's kind of boring. ~(-_-)~

I avoided doing this in the last post but you've already heard me go on endlessly and endlessly about Dave and Terezi and their ~*~love across time and space~*~ and how I could write an essay on the moment their jokey flirtation game gets a bit too sincere and how much they just honestly enjoy each other and their awkward thirteen year old chemistry and how if you think up any stupid melodramatic romantic situation ever and put Dave and Terezi in it, it automatically becomes hilarious and 100000% better and how there is actually some sadness in all those high grade lulz because I can milk sadness out of anything and man

Terezi is one of the most incredible characters in Homestuck and she is the power behind the throne, she's also in a position where she is one of the smartest and most cunning members of the cast which is not a position usually held by a woman -- everything about her design, gestures and character actually leads her to being mistaken for a guy in fanart, I've found, and that's telling.
