I was searching craigslist for volunteer opportunities closer to home than running off to Africa to work in an orphanage (Why I would do that is a whole other post) and I found this:

Recession got you down? I am currently interviewing candidates for a holiday internship program that will let you earn money, plus learn new and exciting skills that will further your career.
If you are selected for this internship, I will guide you into finding a job for the holiday season (such as a retail clerk at Macy's) and let you keep a small percentage of the paycheck that you receive for your labor. When not at your day job, you will gain new skills such as how to properly clean someone's bathroom, kitchen and bedroom, plus the best way to do a back load of dirty laundry. I will also show you how to act in social situations, such as showing you how to order a martini or the proper way to eat surf-and-turf (these expenses will be deducted from your Macy's paycheck.)
At the end of the internship, you will get a certificate of accomplishment and a feeling of satisfaction that most of the money you earned went to a charity that I run for an underprivileged student. You will also have learned a whole host of skills, including but not limited to: Subtle ways to make racist jokes when you are unsure if your audience will be offended, How to get away with pooping at work for twenty minutes or longer, When its ok to steal things (like an iphone), Being able to throw up and then resume drinking without anyone noticing, and How to appear to be deeply interested in what someone is saying without actually paying attention.
