my green thumb needs a tune up...
i'm super excited to put all kinds of potted plants on the HUGE deck out in clinton... (srsly... the deck is like 13'x15' - it's massive and awesome) I want a flowering tree, big bushy potted flowers plant, some veggies, and a herb garden... also, i'm planning to grow cat grass because mr. pie LOVES the stuff, although ramses could not be less interested... the thing is, my green thumb is wonky....
in florida i had like 10 orchids (my mum had like 40!) and they flurished under my care... up here i only have 3, one of whom got very sick in the move, and two that are new... the sick one is slowly returning to health, and the two new ones are doing great... so, it is an established fact that i can grow orchids... i hear that they're supposed to be hard to grow, but i guess they like me... i also had a bouganvilla that i nursed back to from near death, but they're pretty hardy...
last fall i got some mum-like plants... they were dead within a week... last weekend i bought some ronunculous, and today i came home to find them green, but wilted... evidently, i cannot grow plants that are native to the north... :p
