I was looking at the headlines on Fark today and I noticed that some of the "featured personals" are starting to repeat. I find that highly weird: that someone pretty enough to be chosen to be "featured" could have that kind of exposure, where they'd certainly get like *thousands* of responses, would either:
1. not find one person worth sticking with, at least for six months or so, the time it takes for the service to cycle through all the hot people (well, 90% of those chosen are women, technically)
2. give up and decide that all the people at Fark/The Onion/Nerve/Bust/et al. are total asshats and withdraw their own ad
I almost think all the featured personals are made up at this point and horny guys out there are spending their "tokens" to email some automated robot service or something that will send them one flirty message and then another telling them to get lost.
If true, I'd find that highly amusing.
