Rock you like a hurricane

Or at least the remnets of one. So here is the story of Ike in Ohio. My parents came to visit this weekend, which is nice because I haven't seen them since July. Starting yesterday about 1 in the afternoon the wind picked up. It got up to 75 mph - which is hurricane category one winds. One of the big branches on the tree infront of our apartment came down. The power went out at 4 and didn't come on until 7, and then it went off and then on - 6 more times. We finally got it on for good by 9ish. My parents were staying at a local inn accross the overpass. They didn't get power until around 3 in the morning. Over 250,000 people are still without power. At 6 this morning my boss called. Work didn't have power, ergo I got the day off. This equalled Gilmore Girls marathon for me. As far as power outages go - we were lucky. The power place says that it could be up to a week before everyone gets electricity back. I'll have to see if I have work tomorrow or not.
