Portland is lovely. Mind you I’ve been pretty intoxicated while out here. Josh and Dan love beer and I decided it’s about time I try to learn about the different brews. So they took me to Rogue and I had a sampler. Okay, the bitter beers do NOTHING for me. But that was a tangent. Let me tell you about the past couple of days.

So my plane left Wednesday after work and I was nervous to fly for some reason. So they doc gave me Lorazepam (love the drugs!) and I felt NOTHING. In fact, I didn’t even know we took off, hadn’t it been for the captain telling everyone the current time in Portland as the lights came on. I DREAMT that I did wake up and ask for alcohol and gulped down red wine. But when I did awake, it must have happened because my tray table was lowered and I had the bottle I front of me.

Portland is beautiful. Looking outside Josh’s living room window is a view of the parks. It’s like having fall painting with the rich greens, orange, reds and yellows. Lucky bastard! I always tried to imagine what Josh’s apartment would have looked like had he lived on his own. I thought, “Would it be modern? Would it be traditional? Over the top technical?” It’s very contemporary. You can tell the boy loves IKEA and it looks great.

Yesterday, Josh, Dan and I went for dim sum for lunch. Mmmm! That’s when I went to Rogue. Then, we walked around. We walked on some pier/deck thingie at marina-whatchama-call-it. Then we ate dinner at some cool place for seafood. Then, had Dan and Steve over.

Gotta run…
