*For anyone who does NOT have Google Earth yet, you should download it if you have any interest in geography.*
Last night, my mom and her friend were at the casino and they won one of the random prizes they hand out. Apparently, workers will walk around the floor and hand out money prizes. Well, the one they got last night was an envelope from Holiday Travel for $5,000 towards a trip. Geri handed it to me this morning and said "Let's see what we can do with this". So, of course I was tired, confused and PMSing. I kept asking her what it was, how she got it, then I started crying..haha. I just wanted SO badly to be able to go somewhere this summer, and now maybe we can.
I just can't stress how important it is to travel, in my opinion. I was just looking at Google Earth, and it blows my mind how huge this planet is and how little we get to see of it. For God's sake, we get one chance to be here, why do so many people just settle in one place? It gives me a sickening, crushing feeling...like someone is stepping on my heart... whenever I think of all the places in this world I can be experiencing, and for the next 2 years I have to be in the same place. I know it sounds selfish or childish, but yeah, oh well. Sometime...someday... Italy:
