So, today was one of those horrible, nothing I own fits, too tired to move, hair won't straighten right days. I almost called in sick. For some reason, everything I put on this morning felt off... either it was too tight, or too baggy, or I could only find one of the shoes that matched. Poor Greg sat through a half hour long "fashion show" telling me very supportively that everything looked great.
As I am now running about 45 minutes late, I finally settle on this patterned shirt dress with a belt and sleeves that roll up (secured with little silver buttons) and head to the office. Within 5 minutes of being in the office.... LITERALLY as I am putting my purse down by my desk, I pull off one of the stupid little buttons. So now, I have one sleeve rolled up, and one sleeve (and securing flap) hanging down my arm. I dig through my desk for the mini sewing kit that I keep for just such occasions, only to find that I have every color imaginable: red, blue, green, three shades of pink... Too bad my dress is mainly white. Eventually I found a teeny, tiny black safety pin, and pinned the flap back up, holding the sleeve in place.
I think this is one of those mornings that I should have just stayed in bed.
