Happy New Year!

What traditions can't you do here as opposed to where you came from?

You're a sword-fighter and an alchemist?! Thats cool!

Thank you.

Ah- there aren't any shrines or temples around here, are there?

-- Well, studying to be an alchemist, that is. I won't fully be one until I graduate.

Ya!

I haven't seen any... just a church.

Graduate? There is a school for that here?

That's all I've seen, as well.

No, the school is back home, er... well, in the world I'm from. You board at the school and don't leave until you graduate, normally, but, er... well, I seem to be here, for now.

So, the festivals all involved a shrine?

Oooh. I hope being here doesn't disrupt you being able to graduate.

It's a tradition to visit a shrine or temple after midnight on the start of a new year.

I hope so as well. [Actually she hopes the school is still in one piece given the whole Heart's Prison thing, but-] I would normally be graduating next year, as I am in my second year of school.

Don't they do that wish churches, too? I guess you'd have to be careful to look out for monsters, though.

What's it like there? Is it like a normal school but with alchemy? What sort of classes did you have?

I am not certain, to be honest.

Ah... not exactly. There are some who attended normal schools before enrolling at Al-Revis, however. It teaches alchemy, as well as combat. Er... as for classes... they teach things like Predictology and Naturology, as well as... ah, Synthesis and Combat.

Did you attend all those classes or do you specialize in something?

I attend all of those classes, yes. They're only held on certain weeks, though, so it's not all at the same time.

Can anyone goto that school or do you have to be special?

I imagine if one wanted to learn alchemy, they would be able to attend, so as long as they passed the entrance exams, or were invited, anyway. ... At the same time, the school is hidden from those who have never heard of alchemy; it's on top of a floating island held up by a Wind Mana. --It's so as to prevent alchemy from spreading by those unlicensed, which is also why we board at Al-Revis until we graduate.
