When the portal opened up inside Xemnas's room and Saix hurried through, it was leaking the purple fog that had been steadily taking over not only the castle but the rest of the World That Never Was. The berserker quickly shut the portal behind him and made some attempt to wave the lingering wisps of fog away with an arm that was unfortunately still bound in a sling. Vexen had begrudgingly given him permission to move about although the scientist had stressed the wisdom of staying put to the point of being obnoxious and Saix tried to take it into consideration by not moving much. He'd been sent on his way with a crutch to keep weight off his leg, although with his opposite arm still healing it was more or less an ungraceful hobble. Vexen had threatened him with the prospect of a cane if he wasn't careful and that idea didn't sit too well with Saix.

He'd been trying to find something to eat when the fog had moved in and Saix hadn't even noticed it until it had nearly filled up the kitchen. Certain that it had to be Vexen's doing, he'd started to make his way back to the labs, but he hadn't made it even halfway before he'd started to feel ... odd. The moment the hallway walls wiggled was the moment Saix came to the conclusion that something was wrong. Panicking, he'd opened a portal and gone to the first place he could think of that he considered safe: Xemnas's room. Which was exactly where he found himself presently, heart rate rising and pupils dilating. Not to mention that everything was getting terribly bright and shiny.

Maybe he should have gone to Vexen... things weren't looking good but for some strange reason, Saix was finding himself less and less concerned about it. "Xemnas... something's wrong... I think..." He couldn't quite figure out if he'd actually said the words or if he'd just thought about speaking them. It was difficult to tell.
