April Vacation. That time during the school year where it's just starting to be nice out, and you're just starting to pull your hair out. So it's the healthy break in the spring to save teachers from going bald. (Imagine classes then...)
Now, one would think that during such a vacation there would be all sorts of fun things to do, and time to be had.
April Vacation Schedule take one.
Monday- Write 20 lesson plans with reflections for portfolio. Start Teacher Work Sample. Type out classroom reflections - one per week since January 19th. Clean House. Clean Big Red (again).
Tuesday- Lil Abner set at 10. Rehearsal from 12-3. More set until 4 or 5. Dinner Break. Kiss Me Kate line through at Jen's house at 7. Theoretical Fever Pitch with leads afterwards.
Wednesday- Lil Abner from 10-3. Do planbook for next 2 weeks. Email to professor. Finish Teacher Work Sample. Grade tests, essays, in class writes, and speeches.
Thursday- Lil Abner from 10-12. English Honor Society Induction ceremony 1-1:30. Celebratory lunch with parents to distract me from not getting Convocation award 1:30-3. Kiss Me Kate rehearsal 2-6 (yes, I know it overlaps, when doesn't it). Finish portfolio for student teaching.
Friday- Buy Kris and my caps and gowns so we look pretty at graduation. Meeting in admissions. Tour guide evaluations. See Gabi's show at MRT.
Weekend- Run around like chicken with head cut off because tech week for 2 shows has begun.
Yay for relaxation!
