I do realize that I've become a legitimate crazy cat lady. I don't care. The last two years have been hard, and these little furry jerks are often the best part of my day (even when they're eating rubber bands and meowing us awake at 5am and generally shit-disturbing.) They have improved my life in ways I can't explain... it's nice to have living things who are always happy to see me, who need me to care for them, who curl up and cuddle and purr when I'm really lucky <3
Alex thinks it's a bit nutty to blog about them... but I just like sharing the love, you know? And it's also fun to review the entries later when I'm having a sad day.
Anyway. Here's what they were up to over the last week or so.
Helping with homework:
Helping with laundry:
Helping with home security:
And, when they're not being helpful...
Proving they still love each other (I snuck up on them for this one):
Drinking from the fountain:
(I love how he does this... the water streams at an angle off his cheek fuzz and he drinks from the bottom of the sink. So cute.)
Johnny Cash is FINALLY starting to let us sleep in a little later before the meowing commences. There have been a lot of mornings of chasing him around with a squirt bottle, but I think he might be starting to get it. Maybe. He's such a funny dude. We call him our PuppyCat because he's all about eye contact and chasing balls and following us around the house.
I love these stupid cats.
