Catch up
Well since I've signed up for LJ I haven't actually posted a journal entry, so here goes.
I'll start with winter break. I had a great holiday season all around. My friend from the navy came into town with her new boyfriend. He seems like a great guy and I look forward to there next visit. We basically just had a party over at our place; played games, ate pizza and caught up. Ashli (Mythagon) was also in town so she and Adam (Vissith) also came over. We had the right mix of people and I think everyone had a great time.
Amy and I spent a lot of time together over the break. When we first started dating this last summer we spent almost every day together. Then school started and we had to cut back a little, so we tried to make up for it over winter break.
For Christmas my mom got me ski equipment, so I have really been getting into that with Derek. He can ski circles around me . . . backward . . . on one foot, but then again he's been skiing since he was about 6 and I've only been up 4 times. I'm getting better though, I can actually keep him in sight for a minute or so when we I try and keep up with him. This is quickly becoming my favorite sport... Too bad it's seasonal.
Other than that, there isn't much new. I'm back in school, taking Mechanical Engineering, computer science/programming (which I'm enjoying a lot more than I thought i would), and a couple of classics classes, Persephone is enjoying her new littermaid and is still as psychotic as ever and Derek and I are still thoroughly addicted to Civ III.
Anywho, back to work, or the lack there of.
