A successful weekend
Well, the weekend of engagement parties went very well. The families seemed to get along splendidly (well, those that could make it anyway). My family (and especially my mom) was quite impressed with the party hosted by mythagon's parents, and my sister was able to entertain the energetic pup for the better part of the event, keeping both out of trouble ;). We also now have enough leftovers to last for the better part of this week. Strangely, the extra cake that was prepared for us to take home never made it into the car, but was also mysteriously absent from the house, so we are wondering what exactly happened to it.
As hoped, all members of the wedding party seemed to enjoy each other's company. I have heard comments such as: "It's not going to be 2 years until I get to see these people again is it?" from all sides, so we will have to make sure that that is not the case. On that note, I am very much looking forward to heading to Walla Walla with mythagon and genicon this weekend for continued partying. Thankfully, I do not have a coding project to keep me anchored to my computer in the kitchen the whole time, as was the case during our last trip.
Oh! And I have this awesome new icon to use for all things wedding related :D.
