Life changes . . .
A little over a week ago (early morning, Saturday, July 12), Amy and I decided to separate. We were together for 3 years, 1 month, and 10 days. Over the past 3 years we have been very close and shareed many good times. However, in the past few months we have both been growing increasingly unhappy and have not been able to find a way to work through it.
For now we are still living in the same house along. We switched rooms around so that our roommates have the larger room downstairs and Amy and I each have one of the smaller rooms upstairs. We remain close friends. For this I am very greatful. I have both hope and confidence that we will be able to continue our friendship through the next few months and there after. Tomorrow we are leaving on a trip to Florida that we have had planned with my Mom, and my sister and my boyfriend. We will simply enjoy the trip as friends, rather than as a couple.
