So I spent two weeks working on this paper. I wrote it and took it to our class' writing tutor yesterday to have someone look over it. She was semi-helpful, but primarily just told me it was convoluted and I needed to rewrite it. So today, on 3 1/2 hours of sleep I had to rewrite it. I restructured much of it, rewrote the first half from scratch and then started rephrasing the rest. At the end I was a little rushed. I got it in 2 minutes before the deadline. That's called cutting it close. I'm pissed I didn't get to read it over once before I turned it in to be sure there were no glaring errors. I reread it now and there's nothing terrible. One paragraph suffers a slight jump in the middle, but it actually makes sense why I make it if you're reading carefully. Its a fairly good paper I think. And you know, I didn't have to revise it. I really don't need to focus on doing well on anything anymore. I just need to pass and graduate. I just am proud of my thesis so I wanted to write a good defense of it.
I am feeling a little time crunched. I have a two page paper this week. A major presentation and paper (on the presentation) in a week. A final the week after that. Presumably I have to be done with my private reading the next week. And then I have finals, two large papers and my musical final project. That project is coming up with a synopsis of our musical, writing a scene and a song and probably something else (i.e. big).
This would all be fine if I didn't have my private reading. I've gotten through two stories and one play. I have four weeks left. Ok, so I don't have a set number I have to read so that'll be fine, though I'm feeling behind. But I need to find a story to adapt and I don't have anything in mind. It's going to take a lot of reading to find something that I think is interesting enough to put on stage. So if anyone has any ideas I'd love to hear them. I'm thinking of looking for something in the public domain, but if someone points me to something good copyrighted I could go with that too.
