Day Off!
Had a pretty good day off from work. I woke up and remembered that the company I work for: Midcontinent Commnications was going to be sending out a Christmas package with goodies for my SCA friend Yngvar who is currently stationed in Iraq. I think it's cool that my work is involved with the Any Soldier program. Anyways I had forgotten to write a letter to Iggy so I ran up to work quick with a card and a christmas prezzie for him to go in the box as well.
After that I met up with my sister and we went and had lunch. Even though she dropped out of school this year I am very proud of what she has accomplished with her time. She has been working very hard and picks up over time so she can pay everything off since she doesn't really have Mom to help out. While we were at lunch we decided that in the next month or so her and I are going to take a short road trip with just the two of us and go shopping at Mall of America or down in Omaha. I'm happy that I've been getting a chance to hang out with her especially since she went through a really tough break up with her girlfriend. I think it will be good for her to have some down time from a relationship and think about things. She told me today that she will be going back to school in January as well so I was super stoked to hear that.
In other news: lately I've been noticing that my passenger rear tire had been going pretty low on air every couple of days which I just kinda chalked up to the cold. Upon further inspection I found that there was a nail in the tire tread; so I took it in today and got that patched up. Right now I'm currently on the phone with my awesome Canadian friend Kyle who rocks and then I will be heading out to say hi to my mom at work.
I totally bought a fake christmas tree this year with a ton of ornaments. I just wish the cat would lead it alone! I woke up yesterday morning and found the tree on the floor with a ton of the ornaments broken! It's not a giant toy for her amusement...it's a giant toy for mine! So yeah the meowser was told she was a bad kitty and actually has stayed away from the tree since thankfully.
