just used AOL's "first listen" for rob thomas's **solo** debut... the song is called "Lonely No More". It's rather ~funKy~ , with almost a latin type beat and feel to it... It grows on you in catchiness... Now I am a big MBT fan, but this song really sounds nothing like that. But that's probably the whole point. So even if you don't care for matchbox twenty, you still might like this song. it's different than anything he's done before.
today is completely the first i had heard of this, but i was pleasantly suprised.... in other pointless, more personal news... i winged a half-ass decent grade on our last quiz and straightened out the remaining kinks in my schedule to make room for more "entertaining" time spending... i also discovered a couple of awesome new bands, which aren't really new, but they're NEW TO ME... so that's all that matters.... first up is a band I found as a link on a Keane website. But they really sound nothing like Keane at all. But they ARE from britain. Their name is Kyrah. I am not sure how to describe it, other than really good, solid kinda rock. You can't really tell they're from the UK, but they rock just as hard as any US band that's evaded the radio over the past couple years. They are really cool guys I had the chance to chat with personally, and if you visit their site, you can listen to the majority of their album for free. There's also this band called Triptych (who have a page over at myspace.com) that have an AWESOME sound... It's rock, but with some good melody and a sound that's modern without sounding like a lot of other cookie-cutter shit. .....

I was just thinking about WHO initially thought up all the astrology stuff? yes, i know what it's based on and all that shit, but WHAT specific person took the time to observe and study all these people (WHEN?) in order to develop and so accurately theorize and summarize the general personality traits of people according to their zodiac signs??? because 80% of the time, if i think about it, most ppl i know are like their "astrological" sign describes them... i know it's not supposed to be taken too seriously,... but it is a little queer if u think about it...
