On the Eve of Impeachment
The House has wrapped up it's 2 weeks of public impeachment hearings. We are now where we knew we would eventually be, aren't we? Not because the Democrats wanted this, but because the people of America elected a Conman, and a Liar, and a Fake.. and this is what happens when you elect someone like that.
I find it ironic that LJ is now controlled and owned by Russia, and one wonders what they mine from theses entries to use for their purposes.
It's also ironic that Russia, which thrives off the chaos that Donald rings himself with, is also delighting in the chaos that is happening now with impeachment. That's what its being billed as, a circus. But that's the thing.. it's not. It's not chaos. Regardless of how Drump whats to portray it, it's not a coup. It's our Constitution at work. It's how it is supposed to work. When a President is so corrupt, or may be so corrupt, as to need to be removed before the next election, this is the legal mechanism to do so. God bless the founding fathers.
As it stands, having read back in old papers what the attitudes were with Nixon and Clinton, Drumps crimes are worse than Nixon's, and far worse than Clinton's, but his popularity and the economy equate more with Clinton's. As does his defense by the party in power. Which is sad that today, regardless of action, party is all. On both sides.
Even with the powerful testimony of the last 3 witnesses, public opinion does not seem changed enough to vote for removal. They have a smoking gun, but seem to need to see the gun fired.. If even that will matter given the 'great economy' we supposedly have.
Well.. the latest news is of video and photo evidence that has just been turned over from Rudy's buddy.. in and effort to save himself. I guess we'll have to see how that turns out.
Incidentally, I'm still collecting news clippings, or rather saving the pages with them, but I am a year behind in cutting and pasting them. I spend way too much time on Facebook. I was so hoping this would all be over after Mueller released his report.. but again, there was no murder weapon there... just clues and gutless wonders.
