If it were only so easy

A FB friend claims that Isreal controls the signals that guid the N. Korean's and actually all missiles. And that they are pulling the strings and will never allow N. Korea to fire a nuke. Which is so reasuring, that there is some benevolent power controling all this. Yeah... sure there is.

Which is not to say that government's are not activly hacking or trying to hack N. Korea.... and everyone else for that matter, but to actually belive that one country has the ultimate power to decide what bombs go up and what dont... well, that's too much faith for this little girl to have. It sounds like the idea that when the shit hits the fan, and the world finally makes that fateful choice to go full nuclear war, that some benevolent alien hand will come down and save us from ourselves. It sounds nice, but it's not going to happen.

In other news, we had the lad back this weekend for Easter/cousin birthday. Which was goign to be at a resteraunt but changed last minute to be at the BIL's. It was a good meal, and not too many people. The dog they have is finally under control, with the help of a shock collar that has only had to be used once (threats of use have since then worked wonders). A dog that would not stop jumping and scratchign and whining and barking (and being yelled at and scolded) the entire time we were there is now complient and behaved, though still sneaky and needing to be reminded verbally from time to time. A godsend. I'm not sure if it's better to not have to hear them scolding the dog or the dog not missbehaving, but it's just so much more pleasent.

Too fucking hot today. One day of spring, then full on summer. Tomorrow back to seasonable weather. So much nicer. Need to get the last of the leaves up before it gets too hot and dry. Hoping to do that this week. We'll see. We'll be mowing soon at this rate. Everythign is turning green, and the forsythia are in full bloom.
