Working for the man
So we had the prisoners come in for 2 days again. Works out great and they do a great job..No, I don't trust them at all. I have no idea what they are 'in' for, but they are happy to be out working and getting a good, non prison food lunch, and real coffee.. so hey, I'm good with that. They brought their own blowers this time, which was great because I don't dare give them our good ones. They are notoriously hard not the equipment. But they got a lot more done with three blowers. Now we have to get it up before the snow flies. ug.
Ryther has been away this week. Muffin misses him desperately. She was practically asking me where he was last night, after settling in on his bathrobe and looking at his spot on the bed, then at me, then back at his spot.. and then winking at me.. it was so funny. And she woke me up first digging at my hair, then when I covered that, she was tearing into the covers like there was a mouse under there.. I had to put her down cellar so I could sleep. I think she's mad a me.
On the home front, the windows are all painted. I still have to do around the doorways. But the smell of the paint was getting to me.
Did a dig today.. well, actually I let the Supt. do it. It's his neighbor and I figured it was a fairly strait forward dig. He's had health issues lately, and I worry he's not up to the work, but he was okay today. I was also worried about the machine as I've had battery issues and I just was worried it wouldn't' start again or it would do something weird. Thankfully it was fine.
I'm listening to stretching exercises on TV, and I realized I've forgotten to do my walking on my new old step machine.. sigh..
I did make cup cakes though.. not for me thankfully. The boy has a play he's in, and I have to provide snacks for the after party I guess. Well, I volunteered.. Stupid me. lol
Watched Cabin in the Woods with the boy tonight. Funny horror movie. Go figure. Yeah.. not what I thought it would be, but very Josh Whedon. (sp?)
